| Lødingen is
in itself, a rather beautiful district, but gets my vote for the best of the
sculptures in the Artscape Nordland series, and not just because it is by a
British sculptor! It just seems to be the one of those I have seen
which sits well in its setting, is part of the ground it rests upon and
which both contains and is contained by its environment.
The rough outer surfaces contrast with the highly
polished, mirror-like inner frame which reflects and frames the sea and
mountains beyond. I plan to return when the tide is in and there is
snow on the ground. |
